Bioorganic chemistry

The bioorganic team uses synthetic organic chemistry to mimick, control and visualize the activity of biomolecules (oligosaccharides, peptides, proteins).

Fluorescent probes
One aspect of our research is to develop fluorescent molecular probes to visualize biological species such as proteins or cations (Ca2+, pH). To that end we combine, organic synthesis, biophysics (optical spectroscopies) and imaging, in collaborations with biophysicist and biologists (read more…).
