Journée Bram 2026 : Women and Girls in the Sciences : The Why and The How

Dear all,

Bram Day 2026, the 25th annual science history and epistemology day co-organized by the philosophy and chemistry departments of ENS-PSL, will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, in salle Dussane (ENS-PSL, 45 rue d’Ulm). This year, the theme will be: “Women and Girls in the Sciences: The Why and The How”

What mechanisms exclude women scientists from scientific careers? Why and how can we combat this exclusion? How can we accelerate progress toward equality? These questions will be debated after two lectures (one in English) and a film (in English VO with French subtitles).

The day can be validated by various doctoral schools (certificate provided on site upon request).
