Maître de Conférences
I have graduated in 2008 from the University of Evora (Portugal) with a bachelor degree in chemistry. I have then moved to France where I joined the University Paris-Sud 11, from where I received my second bachelor degree in Chemistry. In 2012 I had obtained my master degree in Chemistry of Materials from the University Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris. For my PhD I have worked on the synthesis of fluorinated metal-azolate frameworks with tuneable porosity for energy applications, under the supervision of Prof Maisonneuve at the University of Le Mans. In 2015, I have joined the group of Prof Tarascon at College de France to develop the synthesis and characterisation of new high energy density cathodes for Li-ion batteries. After this first postdoctoral position, I have joined the group of Prof Russel Morris and Dr Robert Armstrong at the University, where I have worked on the synthesis of metal-organic frameworks as efficient anodes for Li/Na-ion batteries. Recently I have been appointed as assistant professor at the Ecole Superieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de Paris, where I teach the module Crystalline Materials. My research at IMAP is focused on MOFs for energy applications, in particular selective membranes for batteries.
