Farid Nouar got a Ph.D. from the department of chemistry of the University of South Florida (Tampa, USA) in 2010 under the supervision of Mohamed Eddaoudi. His work mainly focused on the design and synthesis of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their application in hydrogen storage. He then joined the team lead by Christian Serre at “Institut Lavoisier de Versailles” (Versailles, France) for a 2 years postdoctoral research working in a European projects (MACADEMIA) to develop the use of MOFs in industrial processes such as gas separation or catalysis. Then started a joined Michelin and Institut Lavoisier de Versailles postdoctoral research position that involved synthesis optimization and scale-up of targeted MOF materials. He then got a CNRS permanent research engineer position in 2013 to work in the synthesis, scale-up and shaping of MOF materials. He currently works in a new institute “Institut des Matériaux Poreux de Paris” located in Ecole Normale Supérieure and Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles in Paris.
